We are pleased to announce the addition of two new PCR assays and a new test panel. Now available are real-time PCR assays for equine influenza and equine herpesvirus type 4. For broader testing purposes, these will also be offered in a respiratory panel along with our existing Streptococcus equi and equine herpesvirus type 1 real-time PCR assays. Our PCR assay for virulent Rhodococcus equi is also available to help determine the cause of foal pneumonia.

Two abstracts presenting data on new quantitative Sarcocystis neurona /EPM tests developed in the research lab of Dr. Dan Howe at the University of Kentucky Gluck Equine Research Center will be presented at the upcoming ACVIM meeting in Anaheim, California. We anticipate that we will start offering these proprietary tests within the next month.
